Lawrence Peter Wolfram Jr. “Larry” age 67 passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2017 in Sebring, Florida while golfing, an activity he really enjoyed. He was born April 25, 1949 at Toledo Hospital on his mother’s 22nd birthday. She always said he was the best gift she ever received. Larry loved life and loved to laugh. More than that he loved his family and was a caring and supportive Husband, Dad and especially Pappy. Whether he was golfing or traveling, coaching his kids’ sports in their younger years or just spending time together watching sophomoric movies and laughing together or having a cold Miller Lite on the boat he enjoyed simple pleasures. He was so proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed watching their sports, teaching them to fish and have fun. He attended St. Joseph Maumee where he was an altar boy and Anthony Wayne High School where he lettered in baseball. He graduated in 1967. In 1969, he joined the United States Air Force where he worked as a computer programmer. After serving his country, he settled in Pennsylvania where he worked in IT and attended The Pennsylvania State University graduating with an Associate’s Degree in Labor Studies. In 1979, he returned to Toledo to raise his family where he continued his IT Career at Owens Corning. He was an active member of OLPH Catholic Church and took great pride in being a mentor and coach in various Catholic Youth Organization sports. During this time, he obtained both his Bachelor of Arts Degree and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toledo. In 1995, he joined IBM as a Project Executive and relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas where he met his soul mate, Sandi (Babe). They were married April 25, 1997 and moved many times and traveled the world during their IBM careers finally retiring fully, Larry in 2011 and Sandi in 2013. They built their retirement home in Celina, Ohio where they made many friends and enjoyed family. Their Celina friends lead them to Sebring, Florida where Larry received the nickname “Curly” which he loved. They made their winter home and enjoyed new friendships, many rounds of golf and a round or two at the 19th hole. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence, Sr. and Margaret (Wood) Wolfram. He is survived by his wife Sandi (Frank) Wolfram. His wonderful children Laura and Joseph Kozak, Emilie and Stephen Snider, Elizabeth (Kosinski) and Adam Wolfram. His amazing Grandchildren, 2nd Lt. Henry Kozak, Jimmy Kozak, Elizabeth Langenderfer, Matthew Snider, Abigail Wolfram, Anna Snider, James Wolfram, Adeline Wolfram, Charlotte Wolfram and new baby Wolfram arriving this summer. The mother of his children Lin (Mike) Cagle. His Mother-in-law Betty Frank. Siblings Shirley (Al) Lisenbee, Kathy (David) Lake, Tom (Tina) Wolfram, Tim (Barb) Wolfram; sister-in-law, Vicki (Mark) Qualls; aunts, Carol Fusco and Ruth Wolfram; numerous Nieces and Nephews that thought the world of their “Uncle Larry”; and many cousins. The family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Maison- Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH 43537. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 9:45 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at OLPH Catholic Church, 2255 Central Grove., Toledo, Ohio 43614. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery 5725 Hill Avenue, Toledo, OH 43615.
