Lawrence Ski Sieczkowski

Lawrence R. “Ski” Sieczkowski passed away on the morning of July 19, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, OH. He was 82 years old. Lawrence was born in Toledo, OH on February 11, 1933. He was a Corporal in the Marine Corp and served proudly during the Korean War. Lawrence worked and retired from St. Charles Hospital as Chief Boiler Operator. Lawrence was preceded in death by his loving wife, Irene E. Sieczkowski. He is survived by his sons, Michael Sieczkowski (Chicago, IL), Keith (Sybil) Jernigan, Wesley Chapel, FL, James Jernigan (Maumee, OH), Brian Jernigan (TX), and Steve Jernigan. Lawrence had 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Lawrence was an honorable man who took in three boys from the Maumee Children’s Home and raised them as his own. In doing so, he was a God given blessing providing love, discipline, and direction. He leaves us with many good memories that without him, we would have never had. Thank you Dad, James, Keith, & Brian. Services will be private. The family wishes to thank Lawrence’s private caregiver, Rose, and also the caring staff of Ebeid Hospice Residence.
