Lawrence W. Schodowski

Schodowski Lawrence W. OH WOW Lawrence W. Schodowski passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 at his residence. Lawrence was born on September 7, 1949 to Mary Zerucha and Walter Schodowski in Toledo, Ohio. He attended Nativity Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1967. Larry graduated in 1972 from the General Motors Institute, now known as Kettering University, as a Mechanical Engineer. He worked at Powertrain Chevrolet, Hydramatic for 32 years, as a process engineer, a tool analyst and a floating skilled trades supervisor, retiring in June, 2000. During his retirement years, he worked at Lockrey Manufacturing for about 9 years in the quality department for his friend and former co-worker, Mark Makulinski, retiring again May 1, 2009. He also worked part-time at R & O Tool company for several years. Larry served as secretary on the Board of Directors for the Mutual Federal Credit Union from 2007 to 2009. Surviving is his loving wife of 33 years, Sandra; daughters, Maggie Joshua and Stephanie Jonathan; grandsons, Noah and Benjamin; sister, Janet Ron Gries; and mother, Mary Schodowski. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Walter Schodowski. Friends and family may visit at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd, Toledo, Ohio on Wednesday from 2-9 pm and Thursday from 2-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4207 W. Laskey Rd., on Friday with visitation starting at 10 am and the service at 11 am. Interment will be at Toledo Memorial Park. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
