Lawrence H. Pfitzer, 77, formerly of Ironville, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his home in Lake Township. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 6, 1937 to Mary and Henry Pfitzer. He attended Holy Rosary Grade School, graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1955 and was a member of Holy Rosary Church until it’s closing. He worked for LOF retiring from Rossford Plant 6 in 1987 after 32 years. He is survived by Phyllis his care giver and loving wife of 55 years, children, Kenneth (Valerie), Michael (Shelly), and Beth (Jack) Reindel, his grandchildren, Anthony and Kelsey Reindel, step grandchildren, Trisha Irwin, Sarah (Matt) Currier, Stefani (Todd) Kerschner, Tiffany Wehman and Damien Blossom, 9 step great grandchildren, his sister-in-law Pat Goetz, nephew Wade (Kim and Ally) Goetz, and niece Jane (Gary) Pokornik. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, David. In his healthy retirement days he loved golfing, taking friends fishing and taking care of his grandchildren. He was very special in his ability to make people laugh which was enjoyed by all who knew him even if they knew him only for a short time. By his wishes there will be no visitation. Services and burial at Lake Township Cemetery are private. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Larry’s name are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the Alzheimer’s Association, or include Larry in a mass at your church of choice. The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and nurses who participated in his care and in particular Northwest Ohio Hospice and the Lake Township Fire EMS who compassionately helped Larry so many times.
