Lawrence R. "Larry" Barron, 68, of Elmore, Ohio, died Sunday, March 29, 2020 in Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 18, 1951 to Lawrence Duncan and Margaret Jean (Hanefeld) Barron. He married Veronica A. "Ronie" (Mileski) at the Point Place United Church of Christ on December 10, 1977, and she survives. Larry was a boiler operator for Toledo Edison for 34 years retiring in 2014. He was a car buff from an early age, a real appreciation for classic cars that lasted his whole life. Two of his favorites were his split window Corvette and 57' Chevy. He was a member of N.W.O.S.M. for many years. Larry proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Conyngham (DDG-17) during the Vietnam War. Larry is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Ronie, sons, Donald A. (Maria) Barron and Robert D. Barron and grandson, Jakob Barron. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Earl Barron. A memorial service to celebrate Larry's life will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the Sunrise Park and Banquet Center, 1460 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio 43447, beginning at 11 a.m. Military honors will start shortly after that.
