Lawrence "Larry" E. Allegrini

Lawrence “Larry” E. Allegrini, 76, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Toledo Hospital. He was born in Columbus, OH to Arnold and Ruth Ann (Veeley) Allegrini on July 27, 1944. Larry graduated from Aquinas High School in Columbus where he played football. He then briefly and proudly attended The Ohio State University. Larry married his true love, Kathy, on February 15, 1969. Together, they loved spending time in Florida and traveling back to Columbus to visit family and as part of the Buckeye Boosters. Larry coached soccer for several years for Notre Dame Academy. In younger years, Larry was active at Regina Coeli Parish and most recently, Little Flower Catholic Parish. He worked for Ford Motor Company at the Woodhaven Stamping Plant for over 30 years before retiring. Larry was known for his calming personality, love of family, and enthusiasm for Ohio State. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Scott (Anna) Allergrini, Beth (Scott) Hopkins; grandchildren, Kameron, Noah, Alexis, Cassidy; siblings-in-law, Ruth Ann, Dorothy (Jerry, deceased), Patty, Bill (Marcia), John (Debbie); and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy, in 2016; brother, Joe; sister, Patricia; and parents. Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43623 (419-841-2422), where a Scripture Service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr Street, Toledo, OH 43615, which will be viewable via live stream by visiting www.littleflowertoledo.org. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Ability Center, 5605 Monroe Street, Sylvania, OH 43560, or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, lls.org.
