Larry Kirsch, Papa, passed away peacefully on May 6th surrounded by his loving family. Born September 29, 1931 he spent most of his life in Toledo. A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Larry was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War and served proudly. He met and married the love of his life, Mearl. They were happily married 48 years. Larry was a tremendous provider in every way. With an incredible work ethic, he spent many years at Dana/Spicer in the Heat Treat Department. He enjoyed annual vacations in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, playing cards, fishing, high school sports and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Larry is survived by his children, Michael (Madonna) Kirsch of Temperance, MI, Kimberly (Jeffery) Wayton, Linda (Rebecca Duvall) Kretz; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and special friend, Evelyn Skidmore and family. Uncle Larry was a simple man who taught many meaningful lessons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mearl; brother, Connie; sisters, Corrine and Lila. Family and friends may visit at Walker Funeral home 5155 Sylvania Ave. Wednesday 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the medical staffs at Toledo Hospital and Ebeid Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may made to a charity of the donors choice.
