Laverne M. Kehn

LaVerne M. Kehn, 92, of Oak Harbor, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on February 16, 1924 in Oak Harbor to William and Lillie (Schultz) Kehn. LaVerne graduated from Oak Harbor High School and was her class Valedictorian. She worked as a bookkeeper for the former Bassetts IGA in Oak Harbor and as a manager for the former W.R. Thomas Dime Store in Oak Harbor. LaVerne was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. LaVerne is survived by her sister, Marjorie Foss of Graytown, nieces, Carol Ann Foss and Mary Lynn Foss, and nephew, Robert Foss. She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be conducted 9:30 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor.
