Laurie Ann Dupler

March 2, 1962 — December 12, 2021

Laurie A. Dupler, 59, of Elmore, Ohio, passed away on December 12, 2021, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. She was born in Oregon, Ohio on March 2, 1962, the daughter of Frank A. and Martha A. (Johnson) Hoover, Sr. On June 11, 1983, at the Elmore Church of God, she married the true love of her life, Paul R. Dupler, Sr. Ever since that day they have been inseparable, a match that has strengthened with every passing day. Laurie enjoyed her work as a phlebotomist for Mercy-St. Charles Hospital for the last 18 years, but her real focus was her husband and family, they were truly the center of her life and she always cared for their needs before hers. She was always a very strong person but in recent years her health made working and getting around difficult, but she never complained and was always ready to help anyone who needed it. All her life she was an active member of the Church of God and drew great strength from her church family. She and Paul loved to travel and one of her favorite trips was to the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. In 2018, she and Paul traveled West to take in the grandeur of the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park and to follow old Route 66. Laurie was a very good crafter creating many handmade items such as baskets. She also crocheted beautiful Christmas stockings for everyone in the family, something they will treasure for many years. Laurie is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Paul; mother, Martha Hoover; son, Paul R. (Lauren) Dupler, Jr.; daughter, Danielle L. (Bradley) Reynolds; grandchildren, Blake, Vivian, Lucy, and Oliver that is on his way, Annabeth Reynolds, and little sister Karen, who is also on her way; sisters, Gloria (Tim) Traxler and Connie (Bob) Jenkins; and brother, Frank (Gina) Hoover, Jr. Laurie was preceded in death by her father, Frank Hoover, Sr, and sisters, Pamela Camp and Karen Runion.
