Lauretta Jane Dennis

Lauretta Jane (McMaster) Dennis, age 92, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home in the care of her loving family on Good Friday, March 29, 2024. Jane was born on April 12, 1931, to George McMaster and Nancy Lauretta (Butler) McMaster in Deshler, Ohio. Jane was formerly married to Ivan “Buck” Dennis, of Hoytville, Ohio. She was a longtime resident of Genoa, Ohio, where she raised her five children.

Jane retired from the Veterans Administration in Toledo as a Pharmacy Technician in July of 1992. Prior to working at the VA, she also worked at the Toledo Health and Retiree Center for 14 years. Jane lived a full and rich life. Her interests were raising her family, reading, politics, crocheting, and completing paint-by-numbers on her iPad. She loved her kittens- Pretty, Bear, Tuffie, and Kit Kat.

Jane is survived by her children, Randel (Linda) Dennis, Cinda Dennis, Larry Dennis, and Wendy (James) Harley; grandchildren, Cody Dennis and Daniel (Sarah) Willier; great grandchildren, Joshua Jr., Jordan and Noah; sister, Barbee Fintel; and sister-in-law, Ruth McMaster. She is preceded in death by daughter, Sherry (Dennis) Willier; grandson, Joshua Dennis; and brothers and sisters, Earl McMaster, Bertha (McMaster) Rutter, Harold McMaster, Hazel (McMaster) Larimer, Leona (McMaster) Schwartz, Erma (McMaster) Cluckey, Dexter McMaster, Clarence McMaster, Reva (McMaster) Christman, June McMaster, and Robert McMaster.

Funeral services were private as arrangements were entrusted to Robinson-Walker Funeral Homes and Crematory, 501 West St, Genoa, Ohio, 43430. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jane’s name to Allen-Clay Joint Fire District, Station 36, 101 E. Sixth St. Genoa, Ohio 43430.
