Laurence A. Cave

December 18, 1961 — March 17, 2016

Laurence Andrew Cave passed away unexpectedly on Thursday 17 March 2016. He was born on a Monday (18 December 1961) in New York City to Alfred and Harriett (Bennett) Cave. Larry was a beloved son, brother and uncle as well as a talented artist. He attended St. Francis de Sales in Toledo, OH and studied engineering and architecture at the University of Toledo and the University of Washington (Seattle). Larry worked as a CAD Designer with such companies as McDonnell Douglas and Teledyne on projects ranging from a blender to the Super Collider. Larry was a proud AIDS survivor of 20 years. Although his life was often a struggle, he found solace in the teachings of both Buddha and Jesus Christ. His last years were made complete by the faithful companionship of his fur baby Duncan Idaho Cave. He leaves behind his father Alfred and step-mother Mary Koslovsky; his mother Jesse Bennett; his sister and brother in law Elizabeth and Alan Kanous; his sister Rachel Cave; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces; and countless friends. Larry is joining his oldest sister Ruth Anne Voyles and his step mother Mary Sue (Deisher) Cave. He will be greatly missed. Larry requested no funeral services, but please remember him in the manner that seems the most appropriate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the AIDS Resource Center of Ohio or Beagle Rescue via RescueMe.org.
