Lauren E. Stange

Lauren E. Stange, age 84, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at The Manor of Perrysburg. He was born on July 25, 1928 to Carl and Marian (Damschroeder) Stange in Toledo, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Rosemary Cousino on November 12, 1949 in Angola, Indiana. Lauren was a graduate of Macomber High School. He went on to proudly serve his county in the United States Army. Following his time in the service he worked at L.O.F. and managed his own business for many years, C & L Sanitation. He was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church, where he was active as an Usher and Deacon, as well as a member of the Zenobia Shriners, Zenobia Mounted Patrol, Phoenix Masonic Lodge #123, American Legion Post #240, Royal Order of Jester, Blue Lodge and Scottish Rite 32nd Degree. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary; children, Carl, Tom (Robin), Barb and Janet; a granddaughter; brothers, Donald (Lois) and Chuck (Pat); sister-in-law, Opal; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Therbert. Friends will be received from 2:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 with a Masonic service at 7:30 P.M. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.S. Boundary St., Perryburg, Ohio, 419-874-3133. Vistiation will continue at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave, Perrysburg, Ohio, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. following visitation. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Zoar Luthern Church or the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. A special “Thank you” to the staff of Coral Bell Court at the Manor of Perrysburg and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their care and compassion.
