Laurel A. Swartz

Laurel Swartz, 75, of Oak Harbor, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, July 29, 2011 at St. Charles Hospital, Toledo, OH. Laurel was born on August 18, 1935 in Toledo, the son of Albert and Leocatti Swartz. He had worked for 13 yrs for Libbey Owens Ford, 7 yrs as an officer for the Toledo Police Dept, 17 yrs DeVilbis and had owned and operated the Jamin Bingo Hall for 13 yrs. Laurel was an avid collector and restorer of antiques. Survivors include: Daughters: Roseann Jerrol Feudi and Roxanne Bruce Gackstetter; Sons: Rick Tina Swartz, Terrence Swartz and Timothy Margie Swartz; Step- Daughters: Lisa Randy Ramsey and Kim Charles Lamar; Step-Son: Jeffrey Orthie Martin; 19 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren; 7 Step-Grandchildren; 3Step-Great-Grandchildren. Laurel was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 38 years, Carol Jean Swartz. Memorial services will be announced later by the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor.
