Laura Jean Walker, 44, of Toledo, died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo with her loving family by her side. She was born May 22, 1969 in Toledo to the late Edward Joseph and Sandra Kay Buty Minkowski. A graduate of Emmanuel Baptist High School, Laura was a homemaker. She had previously worked at the William Fall Group and as a teachers aide at Emmanuel Christian School. Laura was an active member of Calvary Church in Maumee and a former member of Grace Baptist Church. She found her greatest enjoyment in spending time with her family, especially on camping trips and during the holidays. Laura also loved to entertain friends at her home with a meal and was an animal lover. She will be lovingly remembered for her inner strength and selfless nature, always placing the needs of others before her own. Laura lived an inspiring and exemplary life of faith in Christ and will deeply missed. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Brad; beloved children, Bradley Jr., Nicholas, Sandra and Allyson Walker; siblings, Joe Minkowski, Kimberly Frank Netry and Timothy Minkowski; maternal grandparents, John and Lilly Buty; six nieces and nephews; and a great niece. She was also preceded in death by brother, John Edward; and paternal grandparents, Edward and Betty Minkowski. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Church, 1360 Conant St, Maumee. Committal will be private.
