Laura Granata

Laura I. Granata, 83, passed away April 24, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg surrounded by her loving family. Laura was born February 23, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio to Lawrence and Anna (Cunningham) Settelmeyer.

Laura graduated from Central Catholic.  She enjoyed spending time with her Settelmeyer, Kitzler, and Granata familys. She worked as the bookkeeper for Comte Construction for over 31 years. She was a member of St. John XXIII.  She loved coaching softball, she coached for more than 15 yrs. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren on the ball diamonds.  She also loved spending time at the golf course and teaching her grandkids to play. She enjoyed playing cards with her Bunco and neighborhood friends.

Laura is survived by her children; Thomas (Wendy) Granata, Jr. and Valerie (David) Barlow; grandchildren, T.J., Lorianne, Kim and Deanna and siblings, Jeanette Novin, Mary Margaret Aman, Annmarie (Jesse) McGraw, Pat (Don) Keggreis, Tom (Pat) Kitzler and Michael (David) Kitzler. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Colette Settelmeyer, brother, Bill Kitzler, and brother in laws, Ray Novin and John Aman.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 2-6 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where a Vigil Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. A Funeral mass will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John XXIII, 24250 Dixie Highway, Perrysburg, Ohio, 43551.
