Larry D. Youngs

Larry Youngs, 77 of Walbridge, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 10, 2022. He was born on October 9, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Leander and Arahawana “Mudge” (Fisher) Youngs. He graduated from Perrysburg High School class of 1964. He retired after many years from Rossford Public Schools as the fleet bus mechanic, with multiple 100% inspection passes.

Larry was active in the classic car and car show communities. He also raised many funds for Make a Wish Foundation and MDA through doing 50/50 Raffles at these car shows. He was a member of Grace Church in Perrysburg and was very active with the youth groups. He also maintained lifelong friendships with innumerable people from all aspects of his life.

Larry is survived by his wife Karen, to whom he was married for 55 years. He is also survived by two Children, Melinda ”Suzi” (Jon) Carr and James (Vicki) Youngs, and three grandchildren, William, Emily and Natalie. He is also survived by two sisters, Shannon Long and Janice Belcher, along with many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Larry was proceeded in death by his brothers, Thomas, David and Robert Youngs.

Visitation will be held at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 2-8 pm and then again at Grace Church, 601 East Boundary St, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551, on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 10 am to 12 noon, with a Celebration of Life service starting at 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wreaths Across America or Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Ohio.
