Larry L Smith, Sr

Larry L. Smith Sr., 71, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away on Thursday June 5, 2014 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 9, 1943 to Quenton and Charlotte Smith in Millbury, Ohio. Upon graduation from Lake High School in 1962, Larry served his country in the United States Army. He was employed by champion spark plug until they closed the doors in 1991. Larry enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, camping, and gardening. But his favorite thing of all was spending time entertaining his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jessica Pettit; great grandson, Seth Quigg. Surviving are his son, Larry L. Jennifer Smith Jr.; companion-lady friend, Donna Doots Pettit; sister, Linda Smith; step-daughters, Tracy Kenneth Quigg, Tammy Andy Pettit Fellhauer; grandchildren, Brittany Smith, Courtney Smith, Josh Andrea Quigg, Erin Adam Keel; great grandchildren, Jett, Liam, Aubrey, Marshall, and also Don and Bev Parker. Visitation will be held on Monday June 9, 2014 from 4:30-8:00 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee Ohio with funeral services to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
