Larry L. Green

Larry L. Green, age 78, of Toledo, died May 10, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 11, 1943, in Genoa to late Lacy and Mary (Rudes) Green, graduated from Genoa High School and attended The Ohio State University. Larry retired in 2010 after more than 42 years as a truck driver with Carolina Freight and ABF. A natural born leader, he was the Chief Steward with Teamsters Local 20 for many years. Larry was committed to safety in the workplace and traveled to offer safety seminars for the benefit of others on many occasions.

Reserved and wise, Larry was the kind of guy that when he spoke, others listened. He was consistently thoughtful, fair, and patient in his relationships. In his free time, Larry enjoyed a cold beer (especially Yuengling), working in his yard, Parkinson’s Boxing, and watching his beloved Buckeyes play football.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sherry; children, Sandi (Aram) Ebben, Paul Green, Greg (Gwen) Green, Sheri Green, Jeff Hepner, and Lisa Stoner; bonus children, Scott Fast and Gina Hall; grandchildren, Brandon, Katie, Leisl, Amelie, David, Rachel, Andre, Autumn, Brennan, Jenna, and Sienna; and great grandchildren, Jazmyne and Johnny. Larry was also preceded in death by three sisters and grandson, Christopher Green.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 5-8 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2022, in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where a Sharing of Memories and Yuengling Toast will be held at 7:50 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2022, in the funeral home.
