Larry V. Flint

Larry V. Flint, 66, of Toledo, Ohio, formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 8, 2026.

Born May 14, 1960 in Philadelphia to the late Esther Gibson-Flint and Lawrence Flint. Larry was educated within the Philadelphia public school system and earned his GED. He later enlisted and served his country in both the United States Army and the United States Navy. Following his honorable discharge, he returned home to serve his community as a Philadelphia Firefighter.

Driven by a passion for cooking, Larry graduated from The Chestnut Hill Culinary School. He later relocated to Toledo, Ohio, where he served for several years as a Culinary Specialist at Rosary Care Center, and concluded his career with the United States Postal Service.

An avid history buff, Larry enjoyed a good debate no matter what the topic was. A proud Philadelphian at heart, he was a devoted sports fan and die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. Above all, he loved his family and he knew and loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Cheryl Flint.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Stephanie Potter-Flint; his son, Lawrence C. Flint; daughters, Lauren V. Flint, Jasmine Jackson, and Breanna Stewart; granddaughters, Imani Flint, Chloe Jackson, and Gabriella "Gabby" Evans; brother, Gregory Gibson of Philadelphia; sisters, Terri (Alto King) of Toledo, Ohio and Lydia (Butch Ifill) of Philadelphia; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
