Larry L. Dartt

Larry L. Dartt, 74, of Rising Sun, Ohio, died Friday, December 18, 2015, in the Orchard Villa Nursing Home, Oregon, Ohio. Larry was born on July 25, 1941, in Latcha, Ohio, to Ervin A. and Eleanore G. (Brewer) Dartt. On November 24, 1962, in Genoa, Ohio, he married Velma Presley and she survives. Larry started out as a truck mechanic and then went to work for the Jeep plant in Toledo; he later became a truck driver and retired after 30 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, puzzles, motorcycles, and working on genealogy. Larry enjoyed singing and was a big family man, who loved the holidays and having family close. Larry liked to make people laugh and babies giggle. Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Velma, children, Robin Dartt, Jeanette Buckantz, Christine Goon, Charlotte (Matt) Pierson; grandchildren, Jessica, C. Brandon and Carter Wargowsky, Jamie Feyes, Jordan Buckantz, Derrik and Denver Goon, Chelsey, Calley and Miller Pierson; great grandchildren, Hayden and Harper McGee and Garret Wargowsky. Also surviving are his siblings, Paul (Kay) Dartt, Sandy Veler, Jack (Judy) Dartt, Judy (Fred) Sanders and Guy Michael Dartt. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Jim and Royce Dartt, Nancy Zunk and Geraldine Shroyer. A service for Larry will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2015, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the family.
