Larry G. Chio

Larry Greer Chio, born December 21, 1937, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, with family by his side. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles. Larry worked for Plabell Rubber Products for many years and loved to Country Line Dance with his wife, Eleanor, who preceded him in death on January 2, 2019. He is also preceded in death by his father, Greer J. Chio and mother, Ellen J. Chio.

Larry is survived by sons, Garry Chio and Richard (Carole) Chio and daughter, Debra (David) Yap; brothers, Floyd (Ellen) Chio, Mike (Edie) Chio and Jeff (Ann) Chio. Also surviving are grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 4 pm – 7 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel (3500 Navarre. Ave). On Thursday, February 2, family and friends will meet at 10 am at the Oregon Chapel, remain in your vehicle and process to Restlawn Cemetery where there will be a closed casket, graveside service held in the mausoleum.
