Larry Abel

Larry “Papa” Abel, age 75, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, March 1, 2021. He was born on May 16, 1945 to Bernard and Margaret (Simon) Abel in Battle Creek, Michigan. Larry retired from The Ohio Turnpike where he was a supervisor. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Larry enjoyed Tim Hortons, golf, Elvis, a huge dog lover, and most of all spending time with his family. Larry is survived by his children, Sean (Tina) Abel and Robin (Tom) Wendt; grandchildren, Ashley, Zack, Mackenzie, Isaac, Max; great-grandsons, Ayden and Parker; siblings, Gary (Myra), Diane (Tom) Nichter, Jill Sabin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Dylan and brother-in-law, Tom Sabin. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 1 P.M. until the time of service at 3 P.M. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee.
