Ladonna G. Smith

LaDonna G. Smith, rest in peace LaDonna. She graced the earth with her presence for 86 years and her light has returned home. She passed away on March 25, 2010. LaDonna was born June 11, 1923 in Mansfield, OH. She worked for Erie Army Depot as a secretary, met Jack R. Smith of Port Clinton, and was married September 1946 by her father Rev. Gilman Burghard, mother Catherine Burghard. Some of LaDonnas most joyous years were spent as secretary of Port Clinton High School, April 1962 to October 1985. She was in loving service of those around her and cared greatly for children. Her first great-grandchild will be born July 2010. Kim Smith, son, Toni Garrett, daughter and other relatives will be present for a Celebration of Life gathering, Wednesday, March 31st, 2010 from 4-7PM, with a Ceremonial Tribute starting at 7PM, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton. Friends and relatives are invited to share in the ceremony. Memorial contributions can be given to Port Clinton High School or Magruder Hospital.
