Kirsten Rasmussen

Kirsten Rasmussen, 90, passed away Thursday night at her Catawba Island residence. Kirsten was born to Steffen and Kristiana Steffensen on March 12, 1918 in Astrup, Denmark. On July 26, 1940 in Astrup, Denmark she married Arne S. Rasmussen and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2000. Kirsten enjoyed needlepoint, floral design and politics. Survivors include: Daughters: Hanne Boger of Port Clinton, OH, Bibi Norris of Strongsville, OH; Grandchildren: Steffanie Norris, Jacqueline Norris, Alicia Norris, Charlie Johnson, Nikki Adams, Peter Johnson, Dawn Wetzler-Adams; Great-Grandchildren: Brooke Adams, Ben Adams, Brianna Adams, Haden Johnson, Sara Johnson, Ava Schweitzer, John David Schweitzer. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and Son:Olaf Klint Rasmussen. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Monday, August 25, 2008 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral Services will be conducted by Rev. Karl Kessler at 10:30AM, Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Kirsten may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the American Diabetes Association.
