Kevin Bradley Mark Chapman

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Kevin Mark Chapman, 70, of Rossford, Ohio, who passed away on June 4, 2026 at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.

Born on January 21,1956 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of John Raymond Chapman and Eulah D. Chapman. After graduating from Logan High School and attending Marshall University in West Virginia, Mark spent his career working on the railroad and as a truck driver.

Outside of his work, Mark was a man of great character who was deeply passionate about the outdoors, gardening, cooking, hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his loved ones. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his booming laugh, and willingness to help anyone in need.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and hard work. He is survived by his girlfriend, Jan Trask of Rossford; daughter, Nichole (Eric) Lauterbach of Newark; stepson, Kenneth (Laura) Shields of Genoa; cherished granddaughters, Caeyln and Ayla of Newark and Kaylin of Genoa; brother, John Davis Chapman (Carol Pendleton) of Athens, AL; and nephews, John Marshall (Ann Margaret) Chapman of Athens, AL and Douglas (Melinda) Chapman of Trafagler, IN. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sister Pamela Chapman; and brother Stephen Chapman.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral home at 501 West Street Genoa, OH 43452 with burial following at Clay Township Cemetery. A celebration of Mark's life will follow burial from approximately 1:45 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Elmore Community Center located at 410 Clinton Street Elmore OH, 43416. Family and friends are invited to attend and share their favorite memories.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express sympathy may consider making a donation to a charity meaningful to them, planting a tree or perennial flower garden, or performing an act of kindness in Mark's honor.
