Kevin Lee Carver of Toledo, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Monday April 7th, 2025. He was 57 years old. A graduate of Perrysburg High School and proud Union Crane Operator, Kevin was a spirited and loving force.
A proud father of twin boys, Max & Jack (20), and husband of Natalie Carver who he loved endlessly. Kevin could be easily found at home enjoying cuddles from his two dogs, Sonny & Teddy, curled up on the couch with Natalie reading a John Grisham novel or watching U of M football.
When Kevin wasn’t working hard at the job site and could sneak away, he was passionate about visiting his brother Kelly in Florida and showing off his scuba diving skills. A lover of the outdoors and sunshine he sported the best tan in the Midwest.
Kevin was the loving son of Mary Jane Ryan who he cared for deeply. His loud goofy love filled her with joy and endless laughter. We will all miss his famous impersonation of his mother’s voice and his knack for comedic relief.
A lover of poetry, old paper, ink pens, and good books, Kevin could surprise you with the deepest, soulful conversation. In his honor, Natalie has selected the following poem titled ‘Funeral Blues’:
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aero planes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He is Dead.
Put crepe bows round the white necks of public doves,
Let the traffic policeman wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West.
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever; I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and seep up the wood;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
By W.H. Auden
