Kerry L. Rottenstein

Kerry Lynn Rottenstein, 65 of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Ebeid Hospice. She was born July 9, 1957 to Pat (Heffernan) Wenzlaff in Toledo, and raised by the wonderful father she knew, Paul Wenzlaff. After earning an associate degree in electronics engineering from the University of Toledo, she would go on to work at the school, first running a physics program before becoming the administrative assistant for the Office of Faculty Labor Relations and Inclusion.

She was an avid lover of her pet cats, house plants, gardening, reading, watching the Atlanta Braves, and fighting for the rights of women and the underrepresented. Kerry also carried a deep passion for politics, reminding those she knew about the importance of voting, and even driving people to the polls on election day. That passion and her wicked sense of humor will be missed by many.

Kerry is survived by her life partner Dave Grimes; daughter Nikki (Julz) Badman; one grandchild and three great grandchildren; sisters Ann Rush and Terry Payne; and brother David Roberts. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Mickey Jones, and brother Bobby Wenzlaff.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 4-8 PM at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH 43551 (419-874-3133). Contributions may be made in Kerry’s memory to Planned Parenthood and/or Planned Pethood.
