Edward Kenny Clabaugh, 83, of Genoa, Ohio, died early Monday morning, January 16, 2012, in Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, Oregon. Kenny was born September 12, 1928, in Woodville, Ohio, to Kenneth H. and Florence M. Long Clabaugh. On May 20, 1957, in Angola, Indiana, he married Elizabeth Betty T. Staszak, who preceded him in death January 20, 1999. Kenny drove truck for Globe Trucking for more than 25 years. Prior to that he had been a police officer for the Village of Genoa from 1960-68. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. Kenny was a member of the American Legion Post #324 of Genoa. He was also an avid hunter and a member of the NRA and the NAHC. For many years Kenny had owned and operated Kennys Gun Shop. Every year for 25 years he went to Wyoming in October for a family hunting vacation. He enjoyed spending time with his great granddaughter and best friend, Kaylin. Kenny is survived by his son, Jim E. LouAnn Clabaugh of Clay Center and daughter, Janet M. Jim Trask of Rossford, his grandchildren, Sara Pratt, Nick Brooke Fenton, Corey Fenton, Ken Laura Shields and great granddaughter, Kaylin Shields. He is also survived by five great-step grandchildren. His parents and wife preceded him in death. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 19, 2012. Interment will take place in Clay Township Cemetery with military graveside services. Memorials for Kenny may be given to the Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. #3, Genoa, or the Genoa American Legion Post #324.
