Kenneth A. Wood, 90, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Tuesday evening, August 6, 2013, in Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born March 16, 1923, in Port Clinton, Ohio, to Harry S. and Ethel H. Aust Wood. On June 27, 1947, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor, he married Corinne R. Meyer, who preceded him in death December 6, 2009. Kenneth worked for the Port Clinton Fish Company and the Port Clinton Waterworks retiring in 1988. He was a WWII veteran having served from 1942-1945 as a corporal in the Army Air Corps. Kenneths favorite pastimes were working puzzles and paint-by-numbers. He is survived by his children, Linda Hoy of Clyde, John Sandra Wood and Richard Mary Wood, both of Graytown, and Crystal Gary Lipstraw of Oak Harbor, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and brother, Glenn Yvonne Wood. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Lloyd Wood, step brother, Donald Wood and granddaughter, Tina Reau. Visitation for Kenneth will be Monday, August 12, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM, Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery with full military honors. The family suggests memorials for Kenneth to Shoreline Church, 769 N. Locust St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449; or the donors choice.
