Kenneth W. Warns, Sr.

Kenneth “Senior” W. Warns, Sr., 79, of Berkey, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022. Born in Fremont, Ohio on April 7, 1942, to Norman and Gertrude Warns, Kenneth grew up as one of six siblings and learned from an early age the importance of family. Kenneth went on to marry his loving wife, Margaret, and they raised their three children together. One of Senior’s greatest pride and joys was his personal plumbing business, Warns Plumbing, where he found great satisfaction in passing his valuable skills along to his two sons. Senior was the type of husband and father that was always there for his family, regardless of how much trouble they got into. He was undoubtedly reliable and served as everyone’s ‘go-to’ man, who they thought could fix anything. Senior did not shy away from telling people how he felt, even when they didn’t ask for it. As his wife and children would say, he was a hard-headed man but there was no one else like him in their lives. He also enjoyed playing the slot machines at the casino and indulged in peppermint patties from time to time. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Margaret; children, Ken (Karen) Warns, Jr., Lisa Kopke, Brian (Sheree) Warns; grandchildren, Kristin (Jason) Lawless, Scott Kopke, Noah Warns, Travis Kopke; several nieces, nephews; and countless extended family members and friends. Services for Senior are private. The family wishes to thank everyone who has contacted them and offered support during this difficult time.
