Kenneth Rowe, Sr.

January 7, 1952 — April 11, 2023

Kenneth Rowe, Sr. died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 11, 2023. The most significant of all traits that will be carried in the hearts of those closest to him are his selfless nature and his big heart.

Also known as ‘Willis or Pops ‘ he never knew a stranger. Everywhere he went he made friends. His loud boisterous tones could be heard across any room. Ken accepted everyone with open arms and unconditional love and would help anyone who needed a hand. In his spare time, he watched racing, enjoyed making memories with loved ones and enjoyed dinner time talks where there was never a dull moment.

Born to Elliot and Belle (Harveson) Rowe on January 7, 1952, Ken was one of 6 children.

He worked in many different positions at Jeep for over 30 years, retiring in 2002. Ken was truly a jack of all trades. Working with his hands came so naturally. His many talents include masonry, carpentry, mechanical work, and wood burning gift boxes. He also knew how to play a supervisory role while taking strategically placed naps throughout all he did.

He and his wife, Christine were married in 1974 and shared many loving years until she preceded him in 2008. Ken was also preceded by his parents; siblings, Everett and Trula; best friend, Rod; and brothers-in-law, John and David.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, April (Scott) and Kenneth Jr., (Heather); grandchildren, John (Darian), Tyler (Lexi), Daniel, and J.J.; great-grandchildren, Weston, Vivian, and Daxtyn; siblings, Donna, Pep, and Chris, Barb; and many loving and cherished nieces and nephews.

To honor Ken’s wishes, services will be private. Celebration of life will be announced for a later date. Walker Funeral Home – Oregon Chapel (3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, Ohio) assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be left at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
