Kenneth L. Rogerson

Kenneth “Ken” L. Rogerson, 87, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born in Toledo, OH to Leslie C. and Nellie M. (Rutherford) Rogerson on July 31, 1931. Ken was first married to Jean Johnston. Together they had two children, Scott and Greg, then later they divorced. In 1975, Ken married Jeannine (Himburg) Schumacher, and she survives him. Before retiring, Ken was the Controller at Darlington House in Toledo. Surviving are his children, Scott (Janine) Rogerson, Greg Rogerson, John (Diana) Schumacher, Betty Lynn (Doug) Richardson, Bill (Vicki) Schumacher, Barb (Charlie) Smith; grandchildren, Christopher Rogerson, Alyse (Garrett) Lindley, Lilly (Sean) Skirvin, Tiffany (Eric) Schumacher, Dawn (Chris) Ickes, Ashley (Rich) Snyder, Tori Buckenberger, Erin Buckenberger; great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Wyatt, Macy; sister, Barbara Ann Smith; nephews, Brad (Anita) Smith, Keith Bigley; niece, Cheryl Christy; many other loving nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Rick (Tracy) Himburg, Larry (Esther) Himburg; sisters-in-law, Irene (Gary) Soncrant, Janette Rucki, Elizabeth Graham; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Derek Miller; niece, Dyane Gaylord; brothers-in-law, Ron Himburg, Melvin Himburg, Bob Himburg, Don Smith; and sisters-in-law, Jolene Przychodni, Eloise Himburg, and Nadine Meyer. Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, OH 43551 (419-874-3133). Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, November 15, 2018 starting at 10:00 a.m., with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ken’s name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, OH or to the family.
