Kenneth Carl Opperman, Sr.

Kenneth Carl Opperman, 83, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Otterbein. He was born May 28, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to Lester and Florence (Moser) Opperman. He married Beverly Marquardt on September 14, 1953 and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2009. Kenneth proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a pattern maker for Toledo Modern Tool & Dye Company and retired in 1996. Kenneth was a member of Westgate Chapel in Toledo, Ohio. He is survived by his children, Kenneth (Barbara) Opperman and Vickie (Greg) Halamay; grandsons, Tyler (Emily) Opperman and Zachary (Andrea) Opperman. Along with his wife, Beverly, he was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Don Opperman. Friends will be received Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 11-1 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will begin at 1 P.M. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Otterbein and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their unconditional care and support.
