Kenneth "Kenny" Laird, 63, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He was born on July 7, 1963, in Fremont, Ohio, to Paul V. and Donna Jean (Talbert) Laird.
Kenny attended Port Clinton High School before continuing his education at Terra Tech, where he studied welding. He proudly spent his entire working life with his family business, Laird Marine, where he could do what he enjoyed most-working with his hands.
He was an avid NASCAR fan, particularly rooting for Tony Stewart. He was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and San Francisco 49ers. He loved spending time with his friends and was always happiest when surrounded by good company. Earlier in life, Kenny enjoyed heading out on the boat to fish. In later years, some of his favorite days were spent outdoors in the fall hunting deer with his son, Tristen.
Kenny will always be remembered as a good guy with a generous heart. He cared deeply about many people and was always willing to lend a hand whenever someone needed help. His kindness, friendship, and willingness to help others will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Kenny is survived by his son, Tristen Laird; his mother, Donna Laird; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul V. Laird; and his brothers, Mike Laird and Paulie Laird.
Services will be private.
Memorial donations in Kenny's honor may be made to the Ottawa County Humane Society.
