Kenneth Frank Kesmeyer, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away at age 79, on June 11, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Ken was attempting to recover from end stage COPD, stage three lung cancer, and a broken heart.

He was a proud member of the United States Army from 1962-1965. He was an operations clerk for the 327 th infantry battalion, 101 Airforce Division. Ken was an avid reader, an excellent cook, and an amazing dancer. He met the love of his life, Pamela, in 1982. He “fought her off” for two years, marrying her in 1984. They were long time members of the Devils Lake Yacht Club in Manitou Beach, MI, where their summer home is located.

Surviving are his beloved goldendoodle, Lizzie; daughter, Renee (Steve) Tomasello, daughter, Tracey (Michael) Johnson, and son, Rob (Heather) Krainik; grandchildren, Gabrielle (Victor) Avila, Victoria Tomasello, Sophia Tomasello, Spencer Preuss, Griffin Preuss, Parker Preuss, Ian Johnson, Owen Johnson, and Clover Krainik; and great-grandchildren, Mario Avila, Amelia Avila, and Isabel Avila. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pamela, in March 2022. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Kesmeyer in 1996, and Virginia Kesmeyer, in 1984.
