Kenneth L. Hartman

Kenneth L. Hartman, 84, of Perrysburg, Ohio left this world on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 7:04 AM. He was born on April 8, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio to Mabel (Smith) and Eric Hartman. He graduated from Libbey High School in 1948 and worked on the family’s farm. For 18 years Kenny worked as a bricklayer and later became a salesman at Kuhlman Corp for 26 years until he retired in 1992. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, William (Daisy) Smith and Nate (Lily) Hartman. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ellen (Prange) Hartman; daughters, Connie (Ray) and Karen (Calvin); son, Kenneth “Butch” (Sherry); sister, Carol Ladd; brothers-in-law, Don Fortress and Kenneth P. May; grandchildren, Karlyn (Jake), Katie (Michael), Heather (Chris), and Shane; great grandchildren, Jessica, Alec, Ty, Drew, Brianna, Tara, Clare and Riley. Friends will be received at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg, where he was a faithful member, on Friday, October 3, 2014 starting at 10:30 A.M. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Zoar Lutheran Church or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133).
