Kenneth E. Endicott, DDS, MS, age 80, of Holland, Ohio, died January 27, 2024, at Flower Hospital, Sylvania. He was born February 27, 1943, in Fostoria, Ohio. He attended Lake High School until his junior year and graduated from Van Wert High School. He went on to be a three-time graduate of The Ohio State University, earning Bachelor, Master’s, and Prosthodontics degrees. He retired in 2022 after a more than 50-year career as a dentist.
Kenny came from humble beginnings and worked multiple jobs simultaneously to get himself through school and make a better life for himself and others. He was proud to offer a healthy, enjoyable work culture for his staff and patients, building loyalty and many friendships. In 1994, he started the Toledo Dental Academy, a school for training chairside dental assistants, which he operated until 2012.
Kenny was a member of the Toledo Club and nourished his passion for golf as a longtime member of Brandywine and Stone Oak Country Clubs. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing poker and his over 50-year affiliation with the same poker group of dentists.
Ken lived a life of loyalty and commitment, sharing his kind heart and sense of humor. He will be remembered for his wide variety of jokes, some good and some bad, for his devotion to family, and as a very proud grandfather.
Left to cherish his memory are his companion of over 38 years, Susan Namay; children, Greg Endicott and Julianne (Jeff) Boyd; grandchildren, Taylor, Parker, and Lauren Boyd; siblings, James (Jeanne) Rothe, Phillip (Jonette) Endicott, and Arlene Rebeschini; dear friends, Susan’s siblings, George (Kay) and Bob Namay and Helen (Royce) Haddad; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2024, in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.), where Trisagion Prayers will be offered at 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 3754 Woodley Rd., Toledo. The V. Rev. Archpriest Michael Shaheen will preside. Dr. Endicott will be privately laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
