Kenneth Earl Gracemyer

Kenneth Earl Gracemyer, age 75, of Port Clinton passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Toledo Hospital.  He was born on August 3, 1946 in Fremont, Ohio to Earl and Mary (Egan) Gracemyer.  Ken married Barbara “Barb ” Counterman on November 9, 1966, and she survives.  He owned and operated Gracemyer Excavating and later the Z’s Beer Port.  Ken was a member of the Port Clinton Eagles, VFW and the American Legion.  He also enjoyed boating, hunting and fishing.

Ken is survived by his wife, Barb; daughter, Nancy (fiancé Jason Smith) Piatt; grandchildren, Zachary and Megan Piatt; great grandchild, Marci Piatt; brothers, Ronald and Thomas and sister, Michelle Brown.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marsha Gracemyer and brother, Gary.

Graveside services will be held 1 PM February 26 ^th at LaCarpe Cemetery in Erie Township with Military Honors and a celebration of life will be held afterwards at the VFW Post 2480 Port Clinton, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County Ohio in Ken’s name in the memo.  The Gerner-Wolf Walker Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements and online condolences may be given at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
