Kenneth L. Collins

August 10, 1935 — March 24, 2025

Kenneth L. Collins, “Kenny”, passed away March 24,2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication. A 1954 graduate of Scott High School, Kenny proudly served his country in the Army from 1954 to 1956.

Kenny's life took a beautiful turn when he met the love of his life, Eleanor, at a bar. In a moment of fate, he accidentally spilled his beer on a beautiful girl. Determined to find her again, he searched the phone book and secured their first official date. His charm, humor, and handsome looks quickly won her over, and they married ten months later on May 26, 1962, at Augsburg Lutheran Church, in Toledo, OH.

An accomplished Tool and Die Maker, Kenny had a passion for perfection and retired from Reichert Stamping. He was not only a master of his craft but could also repair anything. He was the best husband, dad, and grandpa anyone could ask for. Kenny loved his family deeply and was always there for them, offering the best advice and lifting spirits with his jokes and wisdom. He had a great sense of humor, a love for life, and a wealth of knowledge that will be dearly missed.

Kenny most enjoyed his time with family and friends, playing cards, games, and traveling. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including dogs, watching birds and nature. Kenny had a sweet tooth, a day was always made better with a donut, payday, coffee, and a cold can of PBR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Bernice Collins; his beloved grandma, Martha Tilton; and his sister, Barbara Schwarz. Kenny is survived by his wife, Eleanor Collins; children, Shelley (Kent) Roach, Amy (Vince) Croci, Doug (Amy) Collins, and Cindy (Chris) Muir; grandchildren, James Roach, Katherine (Trent) Pawlecki, Cassidy Croci, Gabrielle Croci, Trent Croci, Andrew Collins, Elizabeth Collins, Sarah Muir, Griffin Muir, and Isabella Muir; siblings, Harmon Collins, Phyllis Coughenour, William (Connie) Collins, and Martha (Frank) Duda.
