Kenneth E. Baker

December 5, 1945 — February 18, 2019

Kenneth E. Baker, 73, of Martin, Ohio, died early Monday morning, February 18, 2019, at his residence after a brief illness. Kenneth was born in Woodville, Ohio, on December 5, 1945, the son of George W. and Kathryn (Davis) Baker. Kenneth married the former Sandra S. Wooley in Oregon, Ohio, on January 14, 1967, and she survives. Kenneth was a diesel mechanic for 37 years at the Martin-Marietta Corp. of Woodville, retiring in 2006. He was a true mechanic and could be found out working in his garage, whether it was working on cars, trucks or his motorcycles. When he wasn’t working, he liked to dance and go out to eat with his wife and family. Kenneth was also known for the smiley faces he loved to decorate with; especially the ones on his house and garage roof! Kenneth is survived by his wife of 52 years; Sandra, children, Kenneth (Jill) Baker of Wintermere, FL, and Kendra (Ed) Bumbalough of Gordon, Ohio; grandchildren, Deanna Grover, Allen (Morgan) Grover, Matthew Modrowski, Nicholas Baker, Tonya Bumbalough, ten great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; and brother, Charles (Shirley) Baker of Elmore, Ohio. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William, George and Lamar and sisters, Sue Minich and Debbie Baker. A visitation and time of remembrance will be held from 5-8p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2019, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St. Genoa, Ohio. A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
