Keith A. Snider, 52, of Williston, Ohio died Sunday, October 28, 2012 in the Toledo Hospital with his family at his side. Keith had fought a courageous battle against cancer over the last couple of years. He was born in Oregon, Ohio on September 3, 1960 to Mike and Faye Dixon Snider and married Shelley A. Crosskill in Oregon on June 11, 1988. Keith was pattern maker for the Maumee Pattern Manufacturing Co. of Toledo, Ohio for the past 16 years. He and his wife owned and operated Sniders Swim Spa Supplies. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Williston. Keith was a Battalion Chief of the Allen Clay Joint Fire District, Station #1, Williston, Ohio, formerly the Allen Township Volunteer Fire Dept., for 12 years, dedicating a total of over 30 years to the department. He was a person who enjoyed being around people and made friends easily wherever he went. He was known to give all of his co-workers nicknames, many of which stuck! Keith liked to spend his free time with his family, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, relaxing around the pool with his friends on Pool Sundays, working out with his cousins, golfing and in his younger days, playing softball. He was also an avid football fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Genoa Comets. Survivors of Keith include his wife, Shelley, children, Ronny Erica Grosjean, Martin, OH, Randy Melissa Grosjean, Genoa, Greg Emily Snider, Roseville, MI, and Tracy Tommy Wojciechowski of Martin, grandchildren, Landon, Meredith, Bentley, Taysen, and Rowan, brother, Dan Lisa Snider, Cumming, GA, and in laws, Richard Shirley Crosskill of Walbridge, OH. Keith was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service for Keith will be conducted at 11 AM, Friday, November 2, 2012 in St. John Lutheran Church, 21140 W. Toledo St., Williston, OH, immediately followed by the A.C.J.F.D. Firemens Service. Interment will follow in the Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. Visitation will be held from 2-8 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2012 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Keiths name be directed to the A.C.J.F.D. Station #1, Williston, OH, or St. John Lutheran Church, Williston. Shelley and her family would like to thank all of the people who have shared their love with them throughout Keiths illness. A special thank you also goes out to the physicians and staff at HOA Cancer Center, especially Dr. Horvath, the folks at Karmanos Cancer Institute of Detroit Michigan for everything they did, and to all of Keiths family at Maumee Pattern Manufacturing for their devotion and compassion.
