Keith Walker Millinger

Keith Walker Millinger, age 74, of Toledo, OH, passed away November 9, 2023, at his home. He was lovingly referred to by his family and friends, as Bassdog, Yellowdog or Bass. Keith was born February 15, 1949, in Toledo, OH to Carl and Jessie (Walker) Millinger. He was a 1967 graduate of Rogers High School and attended the University of Toledo. Keith was a skilled residential finish carpenter. His perfectionist tendencies led him to specialize in constructing intricate staircases.

An avid outdoorsman, Keith loved being outside exploring nature and wildlife. He had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling especially to scenic locations for his favorite pastimes of nature photography, fishing, climbing, and hiking. Keith also enjoyed golfing and playing English darts. A sports enthusiast, he cheered for the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions.

Keith was a loving and devout husband and brother. He had a kind and gentle disposition that will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy (Mauk); sisters, Christine (Jerry) Huss, Carla (Dave) Polaski, and Jody Geldien (Matt Miller); brother-in-law, Dr Richard (Eileen) Mauk; nieces and nephews, Mark (Holly) Huss, Randy (Amanda) Huss, Lisa Fuller, Shannon McCune, Jeremy (Heather) Polaski, Leslie Polaski, Jennifer Mauk, Bryan (Mary Jon) Mauk, and Becky (Drew) Schelfhout; and many great nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his parents; Carl and Jessie Millinger; in-laws, Richard, and Betty Mauk; niece, Shelly Huss; nephew, Cory Huss; and canine companions, Cloud and Misty.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 2-4 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. A memorial service will follow at 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.
