Keith W. Haberkamp

Keith W. Haberkamp, 41, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2014. He was born June 3, 1972 in Toledo to Joe and Constance Caverly Haberkamp and graduated from Start High School in 1990. At Start, he enjoyed playing on the golf team and a traveling hockey team. Keith attended the University of Akron, Owens Community College, graduated from truck driving school, and worked as a long-haul truck driver for various companies, a job he truly enjoyed. He had currently been employed with Advance Engineering in Oregon. In his free time, Keith enjoyed golf and playing poker both with his family and online. He also enjoyed a long-standing family tradition of yearly attending the Indy 500 race. His true passion was spending time with his nephew Lucas and niece Emily. Keith was a big-hearted, likable guy who will be remembered for his determined and caring personality. He is survived by his devoted mother, Connie; brothers, Kevin Sue and Kent Haberkamp; nephew, Lucas; niece, Emily; uncles, David Caverly and Robert A. Judy Caverly; aunts, Jane David Menichetti and Rebecca Haberkamp; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Haberkamp, with whom Keith had a close bond; grandparents, Bill and Lilas Haberkamp and Robert C. and Hazel Caverly; uncle, Lee Haberkamp; and cousin, Gregory Haberkamp. Friends are invited to visit the family on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Christ Presbyterian Church, 4225 Sylvania Avenue, Toledo. Committal services will be private.
