Keith E. Durdel

Keith E. Skip Durdel, 77, of Elmore passed away Thursday February 5, 2009 at his residence. Keith was born in Elmore, OH on October 18, 1931 to Edward and Della Rothert Durdel. On February 21, 1959 in Sandusky, Ohio he married Pauline E. Schippel, and she survives. Prior to working on the farm Keith picked up milk for former Page Dairy in Toledo, Ohio. Keith loved living on the farm, playing cards, and listening to country and polka music. He especially loved to take care of his dog and cats. In addition to his wife of 49 years, Pauline, Keith is survived by his brother Raymond Meryle Durdel of Genoa, his sister Eleanor Berlekamp of Fremont, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Clifford Durdel, and sisters, Mildred Bartha and Kathryn Durdel. Visitation for Keith will Sunday February 8, 2009 from 2-4 and 5-7 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will be Monday February 9, 2009 at 11am in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Keith may be directed towards St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church, Elmore, OH, or the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District Station #3, Genoa, OH.
