Kay L. Nietz

Kay L. Nietz, age 72, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg on Saturday, December 23, 2017. Kay was born on April 1, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to Carl and Helen (Schroeder) Tesch. She was a graduate of Bowsher High School and married, Richard G. “Dick” Nietz, on October 7, 1972 and he preceded her in death. Kay was a homemaker and member of Moline United Methodist Church. She volunteered for many organizations including the Lake Township Firebells, the Farm Bureau and the Moline United Methodist Women. Surviving are her children, David (Erin) Nietz and Michael Nietz; and grandchildren, AnnMarie, Sally, and Matthew Nietz. Kay was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard; her parents, Carl and Helen Tesch; and brother, Denny Tesch. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Kuhlman officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury. Memorials may be directed to Moline United Methodist Church or Wood County Special Olympics.
