Kathryn E. Steitz

Kathryn E. Steitz, 72, of Sylvania. Ohio, passed away on January 22, 2024. She was born in Newark, Ohio on May 17, 1951, to William R. and Dorothy E. (Peterson) Steitz. Kathy was a loving sister, aunt, and friend to many. St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church was her church home and a place where she gave countless hours of her time and energy. She enjoyed singing in the choir, prayer shawl ministry, bible study and attending many church functions.

Kathy is survived by her siblings, Bill (Mary) Steitz, Bob Steitz, Linda Guthrie, and Pete (Dian) Steitz, several nieces and nephews, and her entire church family. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Thank you to all the wonderful caregivers who took such loving care of Kathy at Lakes of Sylvania, as well as her team from Hospice of NWO. The family greatly appreciates their love and compassion.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2770 Central Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 am. Arrangements were entrusted to Walker Funeral Home, Toledo. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
