Kathryn M Staccone

Kathryn Marie Staccone, age 75, went to her heavenly home on December 19, 2011. Born on July 22, 1936 to the Late Elmer and Lillian Danko Ferguson, she was one of eight children. She spent her formative years in Rossford, Ohio and married Dominic Duke F. Staccone on October 31, 1953. Together they built a loving home for 6 children. Kathryn took pride in her role as a homemaker and more importantly a mother. Whether watching her children on the ball field or hosting Sunday Family dinner or entertaining the grandchildren for the weekend, the greatest joy in her life was her family. After raising her children, she was employed at Champion Spark Plug and later was co-owner of Riccos Bar and Lounge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic Frank Staccone; son, Frank Staccone; sisters, Violet Geiber and Judy Simmons and brother, Raymond Ferguson. Left to cherish her memory are children, Ricco Debra Staccone, Roger Barb Staccone, Anthony Staccone, Tracy Linda Staccone, and Maria Jamie Leininger; siblings, Shirley Neal Downs, Bruce Ferguson, Ron Ferguson and Charlene Harris; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd.. Prayers will begin at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane.
