Kathryn Jeanne Reynolds

Kathryn Jeanne Reynolds, age 88 of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, January 10, 2016. She was born in Lanark, IL on December 15, 1927 to Dr. Maurice E. and Iva M. (Zumdahl) Lesher. Kathy graduated from Carthage College with a bachelors degree in music and taught elementary school early in her career. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church,Toledo, taught Sunday school, where she sang in the choir; served on the church council and also played the pipe organ. Other memberships included A.A.U.W; River Road Garden Club and the Toledo Symphony Auxiliary. She also volunteered at the Wolcott House and Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, crafts, needlepoint, quilting, cross-stitch, traveling, reading, bird watching and was a talented seamstress. She played the piano and cello. Surviving is her loving husband of 63 years, Charles J. Reynolds; daughter, Cynthia (Keith) Overly; sons, Brian (Ann) Reynolds, Bradley (Julie) Reynolds; grandchildren, Anne, Brian, Andy, Allison, Kathleen, Peter, Sam, Blake, Seth and Maegan; great-grandson, Theo and one on the way. Also surviving is her brother, Fred (Jolene) Lesher; sister in-law, Mary Ellen Lesher and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Reynolds and a brother, Rev. James Lesher. Family and Friends will be received at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1825 Glendale Ave., Toledo on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 12 noon.
