Kathryn Frances Mermer

Kathryn Frances Mermer, 54, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  Kathy was born on August 3, 1960 in Toledo, Ohio.  Her parents were Theodore and Mary Jean (Sprague) Taylor.  Kathy was a graduate from Central Catholic High School in 1978 and completed her associates degree at the University of Toledo in Retail Management.  She was a store manager at Casual Corner, Eddie Bauer and most recently an operations manager at Bed Bath and Beyond. Kathy and her husband of 25 years enjoyed their life together and loved to travel; especially  by motorcycle.  She recently visited Jekyll Island, Georgia; a favorite destination for her and had hoped to one day volunteer at the Sea Turtle Rescue Center on the island. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her loving husband, Michael, brother and sister-in-laws, Matt and Nancy Taylor, Mary Jo and Steve Wally, John and Belinda Mermer, Patty and Gene Luciano, Ben and Jennifer Lieb; her wonderful father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Joanne Mermer; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their kindness and compassion during a very difficult time. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 10:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio.  Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
