Kathryn D. Lumbrezer, 92, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home on January 28, 2016. Kathryn was born on March 30, 1923, in Curtice, Ohio, to Otto and Blanche Turnow. Kathryn was involved in agricultural her whole life. In her younger years she helped her dad on the farm doing daily chores. Chores were anything from cleaning out the livestock pens to cooking dinner for the family. Kathryn met her husband, Vincent Bill, while hauling sugar beets to the sugar beet factory in Fremont, Ohio. On January 6, 1950, in Williston, Ohio, Kathryn married Vincent P. Lumbrezer and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2001. Kathryn really enjoyed spending time with her family, being a member at St. John Lutheran Church in Williston, Ohio, and making meals for family and friends. In 1952, Kathryns dad, Otto Turnow, purchased Toledo Alfalfa Mills, Inc. in Oregon, Ohio. Otto, Kathryn, Bill, and Kathryns brother, Rolland Turnow, were all involved with the family business. After Rolland and Bill passed away in 2001, Kathryn continued on in the family business with her son, Gary, and daughter, Becky. Kathryn would haul five to six loads a day of pellets up to Ohio Blenders, Inc. (now AlfaGreen Supreme) until she was 85 years old. Along with driving truck, Kathryn would do every day office duties, and lunch was served every day at noon for the family. Kathryns family was very important to her and she really enjoyed spending time together with everyone. The family shared many memories together while traveling to Florida, where Bill and Kathryn had a home during the winter months. Kathryn cherished her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her entire family. Kathryn is survived by her children: son, Gary (LuAnn) Lumbrezer, daughter, Becky (Joe) Lumbrezer-Box; four grandchildren: Joshua (Wendy) Hettrick, Tami (William) Brooks, Jason (Erika) Box and Sarah (Michael) Johnson, and two great grandchildren, Elijah Vincent and Lillian Kay; and sister-in-law, Helen Turnow. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Cheryl Hettrick, brothers, Ralph and Rolland Turnow, and sister, Margaret Bench. The family wishes to thank Kathryns caregivers for the last few years of Glenda, Kathy and Ashley, and Heartland Hospice for their assistance during the last months. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 1, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church, 21140 Toledo St., Williston, with burial to follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston.
